We can't be over...

ORANGE!

Yay sunshine!

Monday was warm enough to go without a jacket! I don't remember the last time I felt to Spring like and new. What better way to celebrate but to wear an old jumper!

I love this jumper because it's the only orange item I own, it's fluffy, over-sized and completely comfortable. I'm not sure what I was going for trend wise with this. I sort of just fell into my wardrobe and tried to look cute.

And a closer look

I also did a little more experimenting and came up with CHEVRON NAILS- YAY!

I am getting better at nail art slowly but surely! Soon I'll be trusted to do it on other people...probably!

Anyway pretty much all of what I'm wearing was bought from New Look because I get an awesome discount there. Accept for the vintage scarf from Spitafields Market and the clock pendant which was a gift from the 'voluntary' photographer who took these pictures. Love you Sarah! x

Anyway! Song of the Day is 'Zombie' by The Cranberries. I'm learning it on guitar. It makes me cry and both lyrics and vocals are exemplary.

Check it out!

'Zombie' The Cranberries- stunning but sad.

Stays with you doesn't it,

x

Tribe Face

Well, well, well.

I attacked my face again with all the brushes and the powders I could find.

Inspiration this time? Tribal prints.

As always this was a happy accident. I wanted to practice a smoky eye and then all of a sudden my hand slipped and this happened!

Whoops.

I kinds just smudged and dotted until it came out like this. I'm quite happy with the result.

I want to keep practicing because, as is evident, I need to sharpen my make up applying skill. Nevertheless I think I succeeded in what I wanted to.

Well no I didn't I wanted to recreate Leah Lezark's make up on the front of this months Company Magazine.
They are unfortunately slightly different but A for effort right?

Not really...no.

But all the same.

Anyway,

OMG I love this song. It's really catchy and rather bizarre. Exactly what I would expect from Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. She appeared in Company too as well. Apparently she's set to storm the west! You go girl! I've loved you since I saw you in Kera Magazine.

Speaking of Kera, I still desperately want a pair of Tokyo Boppers. I wanted rocking horse shoes for the longest time but I've downsized. I don't think I could justify wearing something I wouldn't want to wear more than once a month. Here is a pair I'm particularly in love with. I wonder if they do my size.

Also, today I'm craving galbi. The smoky, sweet, meaty goodness, it's been over a year. Just wait til payday!

Tam! x

Loathe the skin your in!

My skin...

I've done face masks a-plenty, homemade and store bought alike. I've tried lathering lotions and potions of all sorts of brands that I respect and love. And they all result ing the same lumps and bumps, dry patches and stinging.

-Clarins- oww
- The Body Shop- oww
-Garnier- oww
-Lush- oww

And this is not to reflect badly on any of those brands. The truth is my skin is harder than women allegedly are. I find myself looking at my Freddy Krugar complexion and screaming
'What the f--- do you want from me!'

Damn, you's a sexy chick...

Let me specific, this is my face skin, the rest of my skin is fairly nice.

At the moment I'm sticking to the whole stripping back thing. I'm using the forbidden soap- ulmighty dryer-outer of skin. But it works for my sister and my Mum so maybe it will work for me. My sister's skin sucked as a teenager and now it's super smooth and glows like sunshine.

I'm using one of the only moisturiser that my skin didnt torture me for using- Imperialis from LUSH.

And since it's for skin that 'can't make up it's mind.' It will do. There isn't a cream for skin that's a 'satanic dictator', so it will have to. I don't really fancy sacrificing a virgin every time I break out anyway. It's been two weeks on this regime. No changes yet but I reckon another month will tell me whether or not it's working.

This partnered with pouring my body weight's worth of water into my face, sleeping right, regular exercise and a decent diet will improve things. I have been a bit wobbly on the whole stable routine thing so maybe that's why my skin is being mean to me. Probably also the reason that I feel more rotund of late although my lovely friends would insist that it's all in my head. I don't know that that is entirely comforting.

So maybe it will turn out that all my skin wants is a nice simple life uncomplicated by fragrant gloop. If so I guess it'll make me a bit thick for not trying it out before. Switching from one regime to the next and refusing to be patient with my skin is kind of a derpy thing to do.

Still, they say bitches make it in life.  Following that philosophy, if I was as much of a bitch as my skin was I would probably be very successful. Perhaps I'll look into that.

Until Next Time

Song of the Day

Carbon Monoxide- Regina Spektor

Beautiful live performance below.
